Le Gourmet:

Elegant and sophisticated, “Le Gourmet” offers a quality À la Carte experience.

“Le Gourmet” is situated at the SANDOS Beach section of the resort past the Meeting & Info point; it is the first door on your right.

El Gaucho:

El Gaucho Steahouse is located opposite the Avenue Bar in the Main Square of the Sandos Beach section. If you are a meat lover then El Gaucho is the place for you.

With a variety of cuts of meats from New York Rib Eye, Top Sirloin, T-Bone and Steak, one thing s for sure you will not go hungry! With a Country and Western style atmosphere it is a fun and friendly place to eat. Perfect for couples, friends and families!

Vegetarian? Don’t worry; we have some amazing dishes prepared especially for you, why not try the Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms or the Grilled Vegetables! And for those Seafood lovers we have just the plate for you, try our exquisite Seafood Pasta certain to satisfy any palate!

Our Chef has prepared some delicious and mouth watering  sauces to add to your dinner, giving that extra special touch, from the Famous Argentinean Chimichurri, Sour Creole or BBQ with Chili Chipotle Sauces - life just would not be the same without them!

Having your dinner at El Gaucho would not be the same without some potatoes how about the Potato Leone’s, Tex-Mex Potato or some French fries, and to top things off enjoy a side order of Garlic mushrooms or some Grilled Tomato.

For desserts try our signature Cheesecake or our famous Hot Apple Pie - an instant hit with everyone!

Grand Buffet Festival:

The Grand Buffet Festival is situated past the Meeting & Info Point overlooking the square at the SANDOS PLAYACAR Beach section of the resort. As soon as you walk in you know you are in the Caribbean, with its bright colors and wooden beam decoration it offers a unique al-fresco family dining experience.

As well as having a great variety of food there is also a popular Show-Cooking Station where chefs will prepare food in front of your very own eyes! Try a combination omelet or a freshly made waffle in the morning…. tasty!!

At lunch there is always fish, poultry or meat available; all cooked to your won personal taste. In the evening there will be something more specialized depending on the theme of the night.

At the Grand Buffet Festival we have a seven-day menu rotation giving plenty of selection for families with children who like to keep the holiday “hassle-free” when it comes to dining.  We also include a children’s section where all the “popular” food for youngsters is kept in one place making it easier for parents to supervise their young ones!

At the Grand Buffet Festival  you will find plenty of food choices as more than two thousand ingredients are used to make up the food every night, creating a unique and flavorsome dining experience.

ASIANA:

Welcome to ASIANA, our signature Oriental Restaurant at the Sandos Riviera. At ASIANA you will taste a fusion of Eastern dishes designed to awaken the senses of any food lover. With true Asian Philosophy in mind we present you a laid back and versatile culinary experience based on the concept of food sharing.

In the Oriental Home it is very important to eat together as a family.  Dishes will be served in the center of the table and each family member will take what they like and serve it onto their plate. There is usually no order to the dishes being served and everyone just shares from the center of the table. This creates a less stressful experience and more time can be spent exchanging conversations and generally chatting about what happened during the day.

At ASIANA we invite you to try out this concept. Most of our dishes will feed a minimum of two people so if you are many people on a table you may want to order two similar dishes so everyone can have a taste.

But above all... have fun!! Fill that table with food and get chatting and sharing!!

Il Piemonte:

Il Piemonte is located behind the Grand Buffet Festival. When you walk down the main avenue in SANDOS Beach take a right at the fountain and walk up the stairs to be greeted by our hostess, who will accompany you to your table.

Food at Il Piemonte is freshly prepared and elaborated by Chef Briseño Medina. Try our large selection of Antipasti, grilled vegetables, cheeses, salads, pizzas, typical dishes and much more.

Adults with love the well-prepared Carpaccio’s and Salads while children can eat as much pizza as they like! Kids love Pizza! Which is why we have six different flavors available at Il Piemonte Italian Buffet. And if you don’t like any of them just ask and they will prepare a pizza of your liking. Tell our chef’s what toppings you want... into the oven, and ready! That simple!

What about freshly made pasta?

Prepared daily in our kitchens it has a completely different texture and is more tasty than normal dried pasta. At the pasta station ask them to make you “Paglia e Fieno”… litterally transalted into English it means straw and hay. It consists of mixing egg pasta with spinach pasta and adding a sauce made of cream, onions, ham and Parmesan. Don´t forget to add some pepper!!

Welcome to Fogo De Janeiro  where food will be zamba for your palate. Enjoy the delicious Brazilian Specialty Restaurant and taste the varied dishes that will be brought to your table.

Dine and have fun, as this particular dinner will be more that food... a show!

Iztapalapa:

Right on the beachfront this has to be the best location in the Resort with top quality Mexican and TexMex food… this is where you can get a taste of Mexico! Forget your usual fast paced life and come and relax on the Caribbean beachfront.

What better place to start your dining experience at Sandos Playacar than at Iztapalapa. Relax and sink into the Caribbean lifestyle as you dine close to the sea in a relaxing local atmosphere.

 Every day you will get a different variety of food displayed on the buffet. We do try and accommodate all tastes meaning that some people may not like everything and some ingredients may be differnet from what you are used to, especially when it comes to chillis and local flavourings!

However we do encourage you to taste everything, as it is all excellent and tasty. Please let us know your opinions and we will do all we can to make your dining experience more memorable.

Iztapalapa is open as a Mexican Buffet in the evenings only.

At lunchtime Iztapalapa is one of the main buffets where you can enjoy our variety international cuisine.

There is a seven-day rotation menu and you will find new items to choose from each day. Popular at lunchtime is the grilled fish and don´t leave without trying one of our homemade burgers. Some guests have called it the best burger in the world!! Well, we don’t know if it’s the best, but we
certainly try our hardest to make it good!

Feeling hot? Why not grab an ice cream for dessert from our liquid ice machine. This makes ice-cream that’s refreshing and tasty and extremely popular with Kidds. After lunch what could be better than taking a run on the beach to burn those calories or just sinking into your sun bed to relax, after all, you’re on holiday!!!
